AN Reduction Mechanism
A time-tested mechanism which has been used successfully by countless industrial users in laboratory test equipment, communications equipment, and other precision applications requiring 5:1 reducer. The AN mechanism for front of panel mounting is available with either 1/4" or 3/16" input shafts. The 1/4" output hub is coupled by two 6-32 slotted-head set screws placed at right angles. The AN mechanism is mounted by means of three holes 120° apart on the rim of the mounting plate. The 5:1 reduced output is available at the front of the mechanism for attaching a pointer or other indicator. Input and Output shafts are electrically insulated from each other. Drive shafts and coupling hubs are available in any diameter or length on special request.
