Widely used for military and many commercial applications, the Type "K" capacitor has a DC-200 impregnated steatite insulator, notched sator contacts, and extra-rigid soldered plate construction. Peak withstanding voltage is 1000 volts with a plate air gap of .015" – plates are nickel-plated brass. Type "K" capacitor availalable in production quantities to meet MIL-C-92B specifications. Other capacities and variations for specialized military and commercial applications are available in production quantities. |
