The BEARING TEST SET is ideally suited for non-destructive preventive maintenance programs using systematic inspection scheduled. As shown in Fig 1, normal acoustical and vibratory output of a typical piece of rotating or reciprocating equipment (in satisfactory condition) will remain within a fairly narrow range of audio-visual readings. Any rise above the normal range of readings indicates the onset of trouble. Data thus obtained by, in this instance, the BTS 104, can be used to anticipate machine malfunction or failure, and corrective maintenance applied. |
